  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  •  cup sugar
  • 3 small eggs
  • tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  •  cups flour
  • 11 ounces chocolate chips


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Using a hand mixer on medium speed, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar for approximately 2 minutes, or until the mixture becomes fluffy and lightens in color.
  3. Add the eggs, vanilla, and baking soda to the mixture and beat on low speed for 1 minute. Remember to scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.
  4. Gradually incorporate the flour into the mixture until it is just blended. Then, stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
  5. Shape the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake the cookies for approximately 11 to 13 minutes, or until they turn golden around the edges.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 1 minute, then transfer them to a wire rack to finish cooling.
