Baker's Secret® is one of America's longest-standing bakeware brands. Our roots go back to a small Chicago pan workshop in 1888, and since 1972 Baker's Secret® has been a household name in kitchens across the country.
Today we pair that heritage with modern materials, engineering and design: pans that release cleanly, wash up fast and are built for everyday baking, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro.

It all started with one young craftsman and a simple idea: better pans for every baker.

A young tinner arrives in America
18-year-old Edward Katzinger emigrates from Austria to New York City and starts out as a tinner in a factory.

1888
A baking pan company in Chicago
Edward opens his own business in Chicago, making baking pans for the commercial baking industry.

Turn of the century
Pans for everyone
Pans used to be made to order, in all sorts of sizes. With his son Arthur, Katzinger switched to standard sizes, making up to 70,000 pans a day for the mass market.

Baker's Secret® is born
After nearly a century of pan-making, Baker's Secret® is launched and grows into a nationwide household name.
